Marketing Intern

Ririe Woodbury 2012 Marketing & Social Media Intern  

The Marketing Department of Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company is seeking interns to help with audience and community development endeavors for the 2012-2013 Season. The internship will have a heavy focus on social media. This internship will be a hands-on experience, with time spent in the Company’s administration office and out in the community.

The ideal candidate for this position will be motivated and hard-working person, who works well collaboratively and alone. The intern should be studying or a recent graduate in Marketing, Communication, Media, Film Studies or a similar field.  

The intern will help with:

                Posting on Facebook Twitter and other social media
                Developing a new weekly YouTube broadcast
                Strengthening and establishing strategic relationships with community businesses
                Organizing patron information and working with database management
                Developing new markets and audiences for Ririe-Woodbury performances        
                Creating advertising and public relations campaigns as part of an overall marketing plan
                Overseeing distribution of marketing materials throughout the community
                Handling ticketing, donations and community relations for the company
                Executing special events that relate to audience development and the Company as a whole
                Conduct research for Company projects
                Coordinating with other departments to provide administrative support as needed

The intern will learn the ins and outs of managing the marketing & administration of a world-renowned non-profit arts organization. The experiences gained in this internship have practical applications to other arts organizations, non-profits and even for-profit companies.

The intern will be expected to commit to set office hours which meet the requirements of the internship and allow for the completion of the projects assigned. The intern must be prepared to attend all performance dates during the semesters in which they intern. (Sept. 20-22, Dec. 13-15, Feb. 1-2, Apr. 25-27). There is no monetary compensation for this internship. Interns will receive complementary tickets to Ririe-Woodbury Performances. The Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company Office is located in the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center at 138 West Broadway in downtown Salt Lake City.
