 Dominica Greene is a performing artist from Upland, California. As a senior at Los Angeles High School for the Arts, she received an Honorable Mention in modern dance from the National YoungArts Foundation. She earned a BFA in contemporary dance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, studying and performing repertoire by choreographers Doug Varone, Jose Limon, Emery LeCrone, Lucinda Childs, Twyla Tharp, and Merce Cunningham among others. At Springboard Danse Montreal 2016 she premiered a new work by Shannon Gillen/VIM VIGOR and soon after worked with Gillen on a NYFW show for Phelan. With New York as her main base, Greene has since worked extensively and on new creations with Helen Simoneau Danse, Suku Dance Lab, Jasmine Hearn, Kayla Farrish, Tom Weinberger, Burr Johnson, and Kate Wallich. She also works in film/video and has appeared in music videos by KARINA, Cashavelly Morrison, Palehound, and Zolita. She has toured domestically and internationally including festivals in Burkina Faso and China. She is incredibly honored and enthusiastic about embarking on this new journey with the very special Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company.
