The generosity of individuals, foundations, businesses and corporations are the financial life-blood of Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company. Please select one or multiple ways to infuse this company with your time, cash contribution or other gifts of support.
Gifts of Cash
There are many ways to share your enthusiasm and commitment for the mission of Ririe-Woodbury. You can give a gift that is unrestricted or earmark it for a particular program such as educational outreach, new choreography, guest dancer, archival purposes, for example. You can also designate an endowment in someone's name. Your gift will be tailored to reflect your interests as well as your generosity.
Make sure that you work with your tax advisor to take advantage of available tax benefits. Cash contributions are deductible as an itemized gift in the year the donation is made. Year-end gifts must be post-marked no later than December 31 to qualify as a tax deduction for that year. Many companies will match gifts to any 501(c) (3) organization (like Ririe-Woodbury Dance Foundation). Please check to see if your employer has a matching gift program.
Gifts In Memory of...
If you have a loved one whom you would like to honor in a public way, consider making a donation in memory of that person. Your gift and their name will be printed in Ririe-Woodbury performance program. CONTACT: David Hodges, Director of Development, at 801.297.4236 or .
You can give planned gifts in a number of ways through your will. Simply name Ririe-Woodbury Dance Foundation as a beneficiary or work with your attorney to choose a plan that will provide you with income for life in either a trust as a part of your will, or with a contract made directly with the Foundation. You can contribute cash, securities, or other assets to the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Foundation, and the Foundation agrees to pay an income to the donor for life and the life of the spouse or other named person. Gifts of Stock, Securities and Life Insurance
You can give gifts of stocks and bonds. Some transfers take a week or more, so Ririe-Woodbury encourages you to start early so that the stock certificate and stock power can be endorsed and delivered to the office on the date you would like your gift to be formally received. If making a gift through the mail, it is best to send each of these documents separately. The date of the gift in this instance is the date of the latest postmark. Stock that is held in an account can be transferred into a temporary account in the Foundation's name through your broker.
Remember that a life insurance policy that you no longer need is a valuable gift to Ririe-Woodbury Dance Foundation. You can contribute a life insurance policy by naming the Company as either the owner of the policy or the beneficiary. A new policy on your life, naming the Company as the beneficiary, assures a future gift as well. CONTACT: David Hodges, Director of Development, at 801.297.4236 or .
Gifts of Real Estate
The gift date of real estate is the date the Foundation receives the signed deed. Remember that all gifts of this type must be accompanied by a qualified appraisal that is completed before the gift is made. Real estate can be simply given to Ririe-Woodbury, or given with the condition that you use the property for life. CONTACT: Susan Soleil, Director of Development, at 801.297.4236.
