Our Meet the Choreographer Series is a unique opportunity to engage in conversation about the dance making process. Go behind the scenes with the internationally-renowned commissioned artists that are brought here to Salt Lake City to create brand new work for the company. This is a special chance to converse with these artists and the Ririe-Woodbury Company Dancers on their process and experiences. These open rehearsals, showings and moderated discussions endeavor to empower and educate by shedding light on what goes on in an artist’s mind during a creative period.
Come get a sneak peak into the dances of TRAVERSE (February 1-3), choreographed by former Company dancers, Chia-Chi Chiang and Keith Johnson, and current Company dancers; Peter Farrow, Sasha Rydlizky, Megan McCarthy, Fausto Rivera, Miche' Smith, and Alexander Pham.
