Meet the Choreographer Series
Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center
Our Meet the Choreographer Series is a unique opportunity to engage in conversation about the dance making process. Go behind the scenes with the internationally-renowned commissioned artists that are brought here to Salt Lake City to create brand new work for the company. This is a special chance to converse with these artists and the Ririe-Woodbury Company Dancers on their process and experiences. These open rehearsals, showings and moderated discussions endeavor to empower and educate by shedding light on what goes on in an artist’s mind during a creative period.

Our Moving Parts Family and Sensory Friendly Performances include ASL interpretation, accommodations for individuals with sensory sensitivities, and narration providing insights into the art of dance. These interactive performances are shortened and modified versions of our season shows, designed to be wiggle-friendly and to allow for audience movement and vocal reactions. Moving Parts is well-suited for individuals with various needs, including young children and their families, people with neurodivergence, people who are deaf or hard of hearing, and first-time theatergoers. Our staff and dancers are trained to accommodate audience needs and responses. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the relaxed dance performance in their own unique way, free from the constraints of traditional theater etiquette.
