TRAVERSE, an innovative concert presented by the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, will showcase original choreography created by the current Company dancers. This performance will highlight the creative artistry and incredible skills that our talented dancers continually bring to the organization. The show also includes world premiere dances by Company alumni Keith Johnson and Chia-Chi Chiang, representing the rich legacy of dance artists that make up our extensive alumni network.
The performance will take place in the Jeanne Theater at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, which will be transformed into a truly unique viewing experience for this special event. The audience will be placed onstage and in close proximity to the performers, creating an intimate and immersive experience. Join us for an unforgettable evening by experiencing this unique contemporary dance performance that brings new and exciting works to the stage.
Audience members are encouraged to arrive early for an on-stage pre-show Happy Hour (6:45 PM). Concessions, including alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, beer from Rooster's Brewing Co., and snacks will be available for the evening shows beginning 45 minutes before the performance. This casual gathering gives patrons a chance to grab refreshments, play games, mingle with friends and family, and unwind before showtime. The work of local visual artist Jordan Johnson will be displayed as part of this event adding an additional layer of engagement. Following the Saturday, February 3rd evening performance, there will be an Encore Social - a post show event with lively music and dancing.
